Past and Present Clenet Series III Asha Owners


Clenet Coachworks Inc. produced a total of 52 Clenet Series III Asha automobiles. The first 14 Ashas were produced at the new Goleta plant starting in 1981 and featured either a standard hardtop or a targa roof. This plant also produced some Asha convertibles. After a major redesign, the balance of the Ashas were all convertibles and produced at Carpinteria.

The base price of the Series III started at $62,500 in 1981 and increased to $82,500 by the end of production in 1987.
